He feeds on the obsessive topics that make the headlines in popular newspapers: the death of Diana, cults, bombs in Corsica, the Tour de France, paedophiles...
His humour acts like a magnifying glass, a microscope that reveals the state of the tumour by enlarging it.
He was himself a researcher, and he has retained the objective and cruel gaze of a sociologist or entomologist, cataloguing in a sort of alarming health report the warning signs of the necrosis of a society in its terminal phase!
