Description
BOUN'ESTIVAL #19 - Street Arts Festival
In Aups, Bauduen, and Bounas
Parlons / Cie. Azurkam – Circus-voice-music
(7.40pm) – Théâtre de verdure, Bauduen beach
PARLONS is an ode to the spoken word. A show-performance blending accordion, fixed trapeze and spoken word. Two women, two voices, reveal a raw, intimate, resonant, physical language that either echoes or falls silent. “Speech begins with a breath… A breath that grows short during a physical surge, such as that demanded by the circus. What might be the gateway to the language of a body that finds itself upside down, clinging on? The trapeze, a form of physical expression, is like taking the floor: a risk-taking act. The chromatic accordion, a bellows-driven instrument, possesses, like a human, a lung that allows it to breathe, to express itself. It twists, stretches, swells, retracts, and lets its breath be heard. The air it carries allows sounds to emerge and become music
Kid Cool
(7.40pm) Hyperpop / UK Bass – Inter-stage / Théâtre de verdure, Bauduen Beach
KID C00L is the high-energy collaboration between Bonnie Lisbon and Stvp!d, blending hyperpop and drum & bass with club and experimental influences, transporting the audience through time.
La Clara Sofia
Minimal groove and earthy spirituality
(8.30pm) Théâtre de verdure, Bauduen Beach
A Franco-Brazilian artist, singer-songwriter, composer and performer, La Clara Sofia constantly draws inspiration from her roots. She immerses herself in Brazilian folk music (samba, maracatu, forró), whilst exploring the hip-hop, electro and experimental scenes of Paris, Lisbon and New York.
Zar Electrik
The spellbinding trances of African Electro
(10pm) Théâtre de verdure, Bauduen Beach
Zar Electrik is a tribute to tribal cultures. The zar is an ancient ritual originating in Ethiopia and Egypt that enables healing through trance by accessing the spirit world. In the same way, Zar Electrik immerses us in their world where trance and dance reign supreme. Their music resonates through our bodies; the electronic layers resemble mantras, the voices invocations. The whole experience is akin to a tribal rite, allowing us to reach an altered state of consciousness. Zar Electrik’s music is best experienced on the dancefloor, transporting us into a liberating and cathartic ritual trance.
